AAAIP Director Comments on Recent Efforts to Regulate AI Training Data in U.S. and Europe

Unlike the U.S., Europe has already implemented regulations that prevent Meta from training their AI models on user data. But these regulations are facing increasing scrutiny from companies like Meta and Google, who argue inconsistent regulatory decisions risk curbing innovation in the region, forcing Europe to yield its competitive edge in technology to other regions.
